Defect
These random characters sometimes populates when I on a new split and can even cover lines of code. Can appear in my file explorer. Currently using NerdTree. I believe also appears in notifications.

Showing icons where appropriate and not masking my codebase.
Actual Results
Keeps popping up unexpectedly and removes itself. and has no letters or anythiing for me to properly interpret what it's trying to do/tell me.

Does not work for me. The only thing that fixes the issue for me is not using this plug-in at all

It's almost two years since this comment, however you might have a mix of things not working, vim version? fonts installed? distro or os? ... did it ever work for you? sounds more like a pebkac than an actual bug.
