Regular crashes of Multitouch app

Reproduction

I haven't found a way to reproduce the behaviour. It happens just on regular clicks.

What I experience is:

• non working gestures (neither trackpad nor keyboard)
• in activities the app is displayed as "doesn't respond"
• I sometimes "see" it happen, when the mouse-up event seems to crash. So in a browser I click on a link it does not open the page. Instead when I move the mouse the text is being selected as if I held the trackpad click down (which I don't obviously).

System:

• MacBook Pro 14" 2021 M1 Pro
• MacOS Montery 12.1
• Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse

I am going go have a close look if this does also happen when magic trackpad and keyboard are not connected / turned off / not in use but collected.

Thanks for the detailed report. The good news is that we should either see a crash report or a spin report in Console.app for Multitouch, which should give me what I need to know. If you find a crash or spin report, or both, please email it directly to me at [email protected]. Additionally, it would be helpful to have your config, which you can get from the "copy debug info to clipboard" button in the about window.
