how to force relay?

i have successful build my own hbbs and hbbr on Ubuntu, and run them by using parameters '-r' and '-k'. But no matter how to set on client app, it just appears to be a P2P connection. In the readme file, it supports the parameter 'ALWAYS RELAY', but I can't find how to set them. please help me!!!
