Problem

I ran rustup update to update my installation and it finished with the error Bus error (core dumped).

The following is the complete output I got:

Steps

I don't have the experience to know exactly what is going on, or how to reproduce this in another computer.

I just ran rustup update

Rustup version

[me@lxplus795 ~]$ rustup --version
rustup 1.25.1 (bb60b1e89 2022-07-12)
info: This is the version for the rustup toolchain manager, not the rustc compiler.
info: The currently active `rustc` version is `rustc 1.64.0 (a55dd71d5 2022-09-19)

### Installed toolchains

```console
[me@lxplus795 ~]$ rustup show
Default host: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
rustup home:  /afs/cern.ch/user/d/me/.rustup
stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu (default)
rustc 1.64.0 (a55dd71d5 2022-09-19)
Immediately after this happened, I ran again rustup update. Then the output was:
[me@lxplus795 ~]$ rustup update
info: syncing channel updates for 'stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu'
info: checking for self-updates
  stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu unchanged - rustc 1.64.0 (a55dd71d5 2022-09-19)
info: cleaning up downloads & tmp directories
Which I assume means everything is OK now (?).
Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide to help identify the issue.
