Inconsistencies with Magnitude of vector

For |vec R|

<mrow><mo>|</mo><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi>R</mi><mo>|</mo></mrow><mo>→</mo></mover></mrow>

which creates unqeual vertical bars.

With | vec R|

<mo>|</mo><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi>R</mi><mo>|</mo></mrow><mo>→</mo></mover>

it seems to work well, but not in all cases. For example | vec R| = | vec P| gives a space between P and the leading |.

With abs(vec R)

<mrow><mo fence="true">|</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>R</mi><mo>→</mo></mover><mo fence="true">|</mo></mrow>

this gives the correct result.
