Failed to load hublist: bzRead failed with error code -5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- start shakespeer application, error occurs. repeat with same hublist
- change default hublist in preferences, restart application, error occurs
- I have downloaded a hublist and uncompressed the bz2 file to make sure that base capability was working
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expect to see hublist in main menu, nothing appears, error at bottom of app is displayed
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I have exactly the same problem. Using Imac 10.9.1 12Gb ram and I get the same message. Can not find hublist. I have tried the changes as you mentioned. Still does not work. This is starting to be like crap.
