sliding all instead of one

I'm using bootstrap 3.3.7...

If I take your base code in a blank html page, when I click left or right, what happens is that instead of 1 sliding off and 5 sliding on, 1,2,3,4 slide off, and 2, 3, 4, 5 slide on...

Not sure what is generating this issue - I'm assuming its something with the slight increase in bootstrap - but I need to be on 3.3.7 for this...

Hoping something triggers to help me figure out what the issue is...
