same here. Is it because mine is Steam version?

Which game have you selected?

Watch Dogs Legion. What is it looking for patch.fat? After clicking the DisruptManager.exe, i am diverted to the Settings window. Then i checked Watch Dogs Legion, and in the Game Directory bar, I entered the folder where the WatchDogsLegion.exe sits. X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WatchDogs_Legion\bin

Just now , i changed the path and pointing it to data_win64, instead of to the WatchDogsLegion.exe, X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WatchDogs_Legion\data_win64

and then i have a different error message now. Screenshot 2024-08-08 224955

This is what the path should look like: image

Thank you rootCBR, searched all the directories in all the drives for folder ubisoft, and there is no path similar to yours. I am thinking maybe it is mine is from Steam? The only similar path i can find is this: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WatchDogs_Legion

image and there is the search results of ubisoft from my c drive. I clicked through all of them, but none of them carries watch dog folders.

The path to your Steam game installs might look similar to this: W:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Watch_Dogs

Still having this same problem. I placed the directory where the exe is. Same message. Placed on what the exception message said it couldn't find and I got the exact same message again.

Correction I moved the data folder into the bin folder and now i'm getting the same "Bad Magic" exception as that other bug report.

Having the same problem. it keeps looking for 'patch.fat'

My install directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch Dogs Legion\bin image

and the error says it's looking for

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch Dogs Legion\bin\data_win64\patch.fat

which makes no sense because data_win64 is not in the \bin folder, it's in the main folder image

Just got it to work w/Steam version. Process:

  1. Installed DisruptManager (DR), on different drive than game (don't think it matters)
  2. Placed mods in DR/Watch Dogs Legion folder
  3. Ran DR
  4. Under profiles selected Watch Dogs Legion (WDL) (checked box)
  5. Selected WDL game under x:\steam\steamapps\common\WatchDogs_Legion
  6. Hit Ok
  7. Mods not showing (usually get errors here if trying to install mods)
  8. Selected Settings
  9. Reset WDL, made sure WDL box checked and WDL was highlighted in list
  10. Hit Ok and mods appeared in list
  11. Selected install mods
  12. Hit play, it worked.

I was having the exact same issues then i did this below i have tested this on wd2 and wdl both steam and xbox (ubisoft connect) versions ( I originally posted this and more on other tools on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/WatchDogs_Legion/comments/18qjjcd/disrupt_manager_issue/ )

This should solve your disrupt issues and problems install (getting mods to show up in disrupt) mods

Read whole thing before doing anything: Ok its the anticheat stopping disrupt manager working (so you need to disable it or temp uninstall it) then open disrupt manager as administrator set your path and profile the click install mods and play (Doing this also disables the anticheat you will get a message when the game gets to the menu saying its disabled) after doing this exit the game rerun disrupt manager as admin then load your profile make sure you have developer mode enabled then click install mods and it will work this is the same for Watch dogs legion I tested on wd2 and wdl both now work after you install your mods you can then install the anticheat (the install files are in the ubisoft or game directory example: Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\WATCH_DOGS2\EasyAntiCheat there is a setup .exe in there.

(I also recommend for WD2 that you put a patch3.fat and .dat in your directory if you don't already have it first before doing any of this just grab em from a mod)

please note for some mods to install/ show up in disrupt you need to extract them then rezip the files inside for example with the no boundary mod when you open the zip there is another folder called WD2_NoBoundary-8-1-0-1571400312 then the mod files are in that folder so you rezip the files so there in the main zip with no extra folders then it works.
