Image stretch and squished

I have two images that has different orientations and ratios , The first one is portrait and the other is landscape:

my .container has a height of 372 px and a width of 561 px I tried using imagesRatio but the other won't follow the same "Ration" given.

this <div> that has a .container classname is styled to landscape orientation and it stretched the image that had a portrait orientation.
