Freeboard installer.jar not seeing the Arduino IDE in OSX 10.11.5

Hi all,

As part of the chart install process I'm re-running the freeboard-installer.jar. That opens fine and I can select the FreeboardMega.hex file. However when I try and select the Arduino IDE 1.6.9 it returns the error message, "Not a valid Arduino IDE directory." I don't know if it's significant but although the Applications folder shows in Finder, it doesn't appear in the Freeboard - Install Manager. I therefore unzipped the Arduino IDE in Documents and tried finding the right directory from there but each and every directory selected returned the error message. Grateful any guidance.

I'm guessing this is on an apple pc, OSX? I dont have any experience of these, there are some users who do - maybe they can help?

Best starting point for now will be to get the arduino ide installed and running, this may help https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/MacOSX
