Status of Roadkill in Jan 2018. Is the project dead?
There have been several comments wanting to know the status of Roadkill, and if it's a dead project.
The short answer is no, it's not a dead project. It's been hibernating for quite a while now, over a year, with promises of shiny new features and .NET Core. As the primary author of the software I have had other commitments:
- Publishing a Packt video Docker for ASP.NET Core MVC
- Writing an accompanying application for the video, Nooptime.
- Dockerizing an open source REST API and headless testing tool caled Syringe for Stepstone UK, the company I work.
- Various Docker things with Kubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud
- A painful divorce
So hopefully that convinces you that I've been busy! The last commit to Roadkill .NET Core branch was June 2017
With all the .NET Core conversion and Docker knowledge I've acrued from the Syringe and other projects - a lot of it is in this gist - Roadkill work should commence very quickly now.
