"Your Saved Data is Corrupt" on Super Mario Advance series occasionally

When I'm running a game in the Super Mario Advance series and I go to the main menu (and I mean the emulator menu where the games are listed), then resume, then main menu, then restart, I get a message that says that my "saved data is corrupt." I wonder why that is.

Hi there! Sorry for this long time too. Yes, I still am. This happens with Super Mario Advance 2 and Super Mario Advance 3.
