Controller Dpad input is not registering correctly (8Bitdo)

Using an 8Bitdo SN30 connected to my iPad, the Dpad input is all messed up with up and down both registering as right. Been through everything thinking it was the controller's fault, but downloading a controller test app on the iPad shows the controller buttons are all working correctly and being registered by iOS correctly. Confirmed also when connected to Windows.

Using a DualShock 4 controller does work fine though so thats puzzeling.

Steps to reproduce: -Open Customise Controls... -Try to map Dpad -Up, Down, Right pressed on controller all being registered as Right in app -Left and all other buttons register ok

Versions: Delta 1.2 (Altstore) iPad Pro 11 inch iOS 14.4.2 8Bitdo SN30 Firmware 4.1 (same problem on 4.2)

its on joystick mode i bet, hold down select + up for 5 second on your controller to set it to dpad layout

I though so too, but I’ve tried that. Although I don’t get any visual feedback that it’s registered any change. Tried to change it with the controller off and on in the various modes, and there’s nothing.
