ACSII > 127 not working + ALT (OptionKey) in MacOS also not working

Hey

On German Mac OS (and other keyboard) some Chars are behind the ALT (Option) key. So @, |, \ are not working fir telnet as the ALT key not work under MacOS.

Ale beside that special Chars in ASCII >127 like üäö, not working and give some mixup characters.

Sorry, I'm not sure that I'd be able to test this properly, let alone implement it, so it would take another programmer to tackle and submit a pull request I think.
