Webhooks strings to firebase

Is there a way to get webhooks to write the data out as its true type... strings AND numbers? Reading the data back in as a string is ok somewhat for metal work, but my web app will have to be rewritten to do all this and that's a lot of work... I need my Photon to write up to Firebase numbers and strings. Is there any way to do this?
