Unable to hear other users until I speak
I cannot hear other users on the mumble server talk unless I start talking myself. If I connect to a server and do not hit the "speak" button there will be indefinite silence. If I have headphones plugged I never hear anything unless I have done the step above without headphones plugged in. Occurs on both a tablet and phone running ICS.
Doesn't seem to be an issue on 3.2 Gingerbread... however, as I was testing something else #2 came up again. I think I may know what the cause is.
Still can't reproduce this. Have you tried talking on the same mumble server using a computer to see if you hear yourself?
Yeah, I have tried talking on my pc client in the same channel as the mobile client to be sure there was actually people talking, It is probably an issue with my specific devices (an acer a500 tablet and a galaxy nexus) or Android 4.0.3.
I don't have an ICS device other than a rooted Kindle Fire with a CM9-based ICS implementation and it seems to work just fine... I'll look into it, thanks!
I have had this problem on ICS with a Desire Z. I have to push the speak button a few times and it ends up working.
I've noticed that the API that we're building against is android-8 (basically is 2.2) which would make sense as to why ICS is having a big issue. I'm planning on upgrading to 2.3.3 to hopefully support not only ICS-based devices, but still be able to maintain compatibility with Gingerbread Devices.
Thanks so much for your testing guys!
Ah, I see! It would be really awesome for this app to have an ICS theme along with it
