xabber keeps crashing on the recent update of android 9 with samsung one ui
Samsung recently published their new android 9 with their samsungs one ui,
Since then im having the problem as soon as xabber is logged in on the account it crashes, cant even open up settings or other things. This problem happens on the live xabber and also the beta xabber.
Similar problem here, my Samsung DuoS2 (GT-S7582) crashes when trying to check messages since I upgraded to Xabber 2.6.2 (588). Previously, with Xabber 2.6.x (probably 569) everything was fine. Of course, since this is a very old mobile device, Samsung did not push any updates for me. The device is stuck at Android 4.2.2.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled this version (Xabber 2.6.2 (588)) and tried Xabber Beta which appears to be the same version number.
Where can I find the APK for version 2.6 (569) ?

As a (temporary?) work around, I switched to the pix-art.de xmpp client [1]

@nicolaydammer Hello. I sent you invitation to beta version of Xabber. Please, install this version and reproduce issue. It will help us to fix issue.
I've seen your invite i will install that version and see if it happens again, it is not a consistent problem, but i will give it a week or 2 and see if it comes back.

Hi i have the same issue (crashing as soon the acc is loged in) but i think it started when I added invite only conference.
@gec100 Hello. Please specify version of Xabber and android that you use? And also locale of your system.
Hi @Str4tocaster . Latest live and Beta version of Xabber available through Playstore on Samsung S8 Android 8.0. I'm using English as display language and Croatian for typing. Not sure if that is answer to your question.
Got the problem again on xabber beta, I guess there is a auto bug report system in it? Seems to happen when I am also logged in on pidgin on my desktop. Maybe that is conflicting.
@nicolaydammer There is a new version of Xabber Beta available for you in Crashlytics. Check it please.
That new version solved a lot of problems, will see what happens coming days
@Str4tocaster same problem still exists while my pidgin is also running on my pc. Think it's recreatable by turning on xabber on the phone, then also a pc with pidgin, receive a couple of messages, turn the xabber on the phone off and close the app then fire up xabber again and turn on the account then it crashes for me. also when exiting pidgin on the pc and starting xabber again it wont crash. think it has something to do with being online on 2 diffrent places at the same time.
@nicolaydammer I see your crashes in crashlytics, but it looks like not related with your pidgin client. Are you sure that it is not coincidence?
@Str4tocaster i am able to recreate it that way, i cant look behind the scene sadly
@Str4tocaster so about those crashes, it's still not fixed after all this time, any idea why its still crashing?
