🐛 Bug Report: About the Dockerfile

Open pratclot opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug

The Dockerfile does not build the project, instead it downloads a pre-built binary since 3f4526debee9a4c5fc932c2c5fbe4025667d789f.

Steps to reproduce the bug

What's the expected behavior?

The Dockerfile builds the app from sources.

Additional context / screenshot

Feels unsafe, man.

  • [x] I checked that the instance that this was reported on is running the latest git commit, or I can reproduce it locally on the latest git commit

There's supposed to be (used to be?) a dev one that actually builds. Beyond me where exactly it is. It's currently hiding.

It's not really any more unsafe though since it's still inside docker just like built-from-source would be... :thinking: just very misleading when people want to test locally.

@sigaloid Maybe this might help.

It's my fork of your project that refreshes source daily and builds for Docker arm64. I use it reliably for my personal instance.
