Crash on non-alphanumeric user filepaths

The extension is searching for C:\Users\sheepy,

however my real username is C:\Users\sheepy! with an exclamation mark (!).

I added a symlink (Junction) in an attempt o get around this, but now the error has changed to an (Access is denied) error.

Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\sheepy (Access is denied)

Despite that error, I feel very certain that this is not a permissions error as the extension works fine on the same system if I create a user without an exclamation mark in the username.
