Investigate use of babel-loader cacheDir
The babel-loader docs have this tantalizing tidbit
You can also speed up babel-loader by as much as 2x by using the cacheDirectory option. This will cache transformations to the filesystem.
We should check it out
It is even used babel-loader in react server @doug-wade ? I have searched for references inside the project but I haven't found anything, maybe we could remove it in this issue #277 . Please tell me if I'm wrong I don't have a lot of knowledge about this repo
Ooh, yeah that's a tricky thing about webpack loaders. The underlying module name is built up from partial input. Here's where babel-loader is referenced... just as "babel". 😬
