Packages.config does not support Analyzers, including Source Generators. Migrate to PackageReference

Describe the bug I have added a Xamarin.Mac target to an existing iOS/Android solution and when building for Mac I hit the following error:

Packages.config does not support Analyzers, including Source Generators. Migrate to PackageReference: 'https://devblogs.microsoft.com/nuget/migrate-packages-config-to-package-reference/'

Steps To Reproduce Add Xamarin.Mac target by following these steps:

Expected behavior Build and run like iOS/Android

Environment Mac OS 12.2.1 Visual Studio 8.10.19

The error message is accurate, you need to migrate to PackageReference.

How do i migrate from package config to package reference in visual studio mac 2022 ? It would be great if you can share some links to solve this issue.
