Just want to bump this. I've left a question about how to get HMR working over in the react-figma discussion board. I think any development without HMR is almost not worth it. I've spent over a day trying to get HMR working, only there are significant discrepancies between the boilerplate code base and the HMR example code base.

HMR should absolutely be part of the boilerplate. If anyone can offer any suggestions about how to make it work, and your experience getting this to work would be much appreciated!

I would raise a PR if only I could get it working myself!
