Binary modules

Regarding the common issues with the binary module two questions:

  1. Native compiling Would it be possible to integrate the needed build environment to compile them natively on a RPi etc.?

  2. How to cross build If 1 is not feasible (what I expect), could you (@hobbyquaker) quickly sketchup how to setup the cross build environment, so that advanced users and the community can support in creating binary addons? Would it make sense to have some "Upload precompiled modules" in the RM management UI or simply push such precompiled nodes via ssh?
