Update/Upgrade Hugo/Wowchemy

Hi @apreshill Your personal website is wonderful and I followed your template to create my own website. But now I find that the academic-hugo has became Wowchemy, that means I need to update or upgrade the academic-hugo, which will break my personal webite. This is so painful. Would you please offer some tips or experience to help me to upgrade the hugo (or academic-hugo). Thanks!
