Spin.py doesn't work with Wayland

Open ragtag opened this issue 8 years ago • 0 comments

Spin.py does not work properly with Wayland it seems.

Some of it's features are now built in, so screen, tablet and touchscreen rotation work out of the box (on Ubuntu Gnome 17.10 at least), as does screen rotation lock.

On the other hand, the palm rejection does not, as the xinput command used to detect when the stylus was near the screen, no longer outputs this information correctly. libinput-debug-events does.

All of these likely require a major re-write of spin.py, or just starting from scratchy on a simpler tool just does palm rejection.
