[BUG] Quillette articles don't work in Reader View

Open bkosowski opened this issue 8 months ago • 4 comments

Any article on Quillette (for example this one) doesn't display any text from the page's content when in Reader View.

Using the latest extension version 0.8.2 on Google Chrome 137.0.7151.41.

An example article: https://quillette.com/2025/05/19/the-mars-vanity-project/

The page viewed normally: Image

The same article in the Reader view: Image

The same article works fine in Chrome's built-in function: Image

The issue may be related to #217.

I am not able to reproduce this issue. Do you get any error in the console?

The Network tab is fine (all 200s). In the Console, there is only There is no next or previous chapters for this article.

Interesting! I've disabled some extensions to check for conflicts.

AdBlocker Ultimate, when enabled, prevents Reader View from properly rendering the article.

I installed this extension and, using the default settings, the reader view still works as expected for me on the provided article. It's possible you have another extension that's causing a conflict.

I suppose it's possible. Although, when I enable AdBlocker, the article is not being rendered, but when I disable it, Reader View works fine.
