Extension keeps enabling the proxy at system level
I'm using the Proxy Switcher extension in Chrome set to use a PAC script but it keeps enabling the system proxy in my Windows settings. I'll switch it off via the Windows system settings but after a while it turns back on again. Is there a way to prevent this?
It doesn't seem to be triggered by anything that I do in the Proxy Switcher because I can click all through the settings and the system proxy remains disabled, then I don't touch it for 30 minutes or so and suddenly several apps stop working and I see that the system proxy is enabled. I can't conclusively demonstrate that it's caused by the extension but it's never happened before I installed it.
As far as I'm aware the Chrome support for PAC scripts is actually at an OS level i.e. in Windows in your case. I'm not saying there's no issue with the extension, just that when I've added PAC URLs in Chrome previously, I've had to do it at OS level.
