Question about na.action in krige functions

Hello,

It looks like in the krige() functions that na.action = ... only applies when the spatial coordinates are missing and not when the dependent variable is missing (perhaps one variable among many other variables is missing an observation at a spatial point). Do you mind me asking the reason for this design?
