After Bulma...

Open tvld opened this issue 8 years ago • 4 comments

Created a few projects with Bulma, very nice fast and compact by the way, I thought to test Quasar and replace Bulma in a project. However all Q docs seem about starting a project from scratch wit the cli:

  • how do we step by step replace an existing styling lib with Quasar ?
  • can we use the same scss colors and styling at first so not to confuse users?

  1. I believe what you will be easiest you create the boilerplate, draw the base and paste the other project inside the new
  2. You can change a lot of variables easily and obviously can add a layer above with your custom rules

@wilcorrea that is doable... but also influences all webpack / linting / testing stuff we have designed for ourselves... So... just saying it would help if Quasar would not consider itself the primary layer, but just a helper on top of the standard...

Will make an assesment after v0.14 release. Everybody should understand that having some code working as website or mobile app or electron app simultaneosuly is a hard thing and needs some specifics both in Quasar and its starter kit/boilerplate. But will make a thorough analysis of what can be done, after v0.14.
