Keyboard layout switch shortcut is not working when mutate is active

When Mutate input is active and I press my shortcut for keyboard layout switch nothing happens. I also try my another global shortcuts - Mutate seems to swallow them. I needed to switch languages, when I was using "translate" feature. Shortcut to switch languages I am using - "Ctrl + Shift" OS: Ubuntu 14.04
