problem for starting pyzo on windows 10

Hello,

Since yesterday, when I try to start Pyzo, the wellcome page opens, it stays there, and then it closes. I have tried many many times and it is always the same. I have turned off the computer and on several times, and nothing happen. I have been using Pyzo for years and this problem never happened before... I have reinstalled Pyzo several times, but it doesn't work. I need it to finish some scientific work before the 18th of december 2020, please, can you help me in emergency?

Can you start pyzo from the command prompt and post the output?

It could be that your config file somehow became corrupted. You can try removing the config.ssdf from C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\pyzo. Consider making a backup, because that will remove all settings and shell configs. When it works you can open the files in a text editor and add some settings back in.

An alternative solution could be to run Pyzo from source, in case it's a problem with the frozen binary. Just pip install pyqt5 pyzo, and then python -m pyzo. (If you use (ana)conda, then conda install pyqt5 and then pip install pyzo.

I hope we can get Pyzo running again on your machine. If this takes a while, consider using Spyder to finish your work.
