Update docs for the library in docs directory

The docs are pretty old on readthedocs and need an update.

Should we just leave the README as the documentation? Clear and simple examples demonstrating all the modules? Also, https://hackr.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ shows the same content as the README. I could work on this if anything else is needed.
