Ack user via twitter account once workshop is completed
Once the workshop is completed we should tweet using pythonexpress account thanking user for help in conducting workshop.
Two things that are coming to my mind.
- Do you want to send a generic message static a particular 'TUTOR' has completed the workshop.
- Or Do you want us to tag the user as well. [2] if 2nd point is to be considered then what if that particular user ID isn't registered on TWITTER? or we don't have his/her credentials. or as you say "KEEP IT SIMPLE" just thank the TUTOR and that's all. @vnbang2003
I would for now go with Do you want to send a generic message static a particular 'TUTOR' has completed the workshop.
Cool. Got your point
is some one working on it? @vnbang2003 @aniketmaithani could you tell? else l would like to take it.
@curioswati This is to ack user on successful completion on workshop. We need to get twitter handler name from the profile twitter fields(User can just share twitter username (vnbang2003) or share profile link (https://twitter.com/vnbang2003) Once workshop is moved to stage Feedback complete or completed we do auto tweet thanking him.
Clear ?
okay, I am working on it.
@vnbang2003 how a workshop is marked completed?
and few points to clear:
- should I create a celery task? since the function needs to interact with an external API, so if in case it fails it should be re sent. That should be fine
- what should I do for twitter app credentials, should I create my own twitter app credentials? On you local yes . Production has already twitter setup and we tweet for every new workshop request.
- how would I test if its working, should I create a fake account or do we have some fake account already that I can use. We need to find way for celery testing. I recommend few for celery pull request can you take look ?
and anything that I have missed for this task, could you please clarify?
