Add GeoJSON selector plugin

I am trying to add a select to zoom kind of functionality on folium Geojson map. I have tried a search box but adding that broke marker cluster. Is there a way to do something like that is being done in the plugin linked in folium? If not, is there a way to create a somewhat similar map in python.
