Rename file without extension and choose folder where is downloaded

Open thomasbonsirven opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Hello all,

Describe the feature

everything is in the title it would be very interesting to be able to save the file that we download where we want by selecting it in the small pop-up/modal.

And the ability to rename file names without changing extension.

My actual problem is typicaly that. We need to organize all downloaded file, and i didn't find anything about this in pyload.

this would be very useful in many cases and on top of that most download management systems have this possibility

Best regards

@thomasbonsirven take a look at filebot https://www.filebot.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=215

pyload can execute external scripts on certain event You can run filebot scripr when pyload finishes a download (package_finished)

@GammaC0de I asked something similar :-)... I think that it would good to be able to put for example movies in /opt/pyload/Downloads/movies and tv_shows in /opt/pyload/Downloads/tv_shows, apps in /opt/pyload/Downloads/apps etc... It would be more ergonomic to be able to choose these subfolders when adding downloads :-) I'll take a look of filebot anyway

Hello,

@GammaC0de Thank i check this. @TuXbOy06 yes, but that is best if we have a possibility to choice where we want to download.

It would be very interesting to be able to classify all by category. Example in the settings, have the possibility of adding categories with a name and an absolute or relative path of the place where we want the file to be installed.

In the popup / modal when adding the download link, a dropdown appears with a list of all categories, which each category as mentioned above in my message, refers to a folder where the files will be downloaded.

In the meantime I'll watch filebot :) Thanks again for pyload :)
