munge invalid credential format submit jobs to SGE Cluster

This is a new build using SGE 8. We can run qsub and qstat via the cli without issue. The problem is when the application attempts to submit a job we get a munge: invalid credential format error. The application itself does spawn python sub-processes. Not sure where to go from here.
