See what we can do with other views (smart folders) to enable somehow a way to sort them.
I'd really like the ability to manually sort Favorite folders. Thanks for listening to my suggestion. :D
I just installed the extension, happily sorted the mail accounts and folders only to find that my default view - "Favorite Folders" isn't affected by this. Any workaround or status on this feature request?
I personally only use View > Folders > All, and that's the only one I've tested this add-on. So, I never paid attention to how this add-on works in other views (Unified, Unread, Favorite, Recent). I will try to analyze it when I have time.

I have many folders in my email accounts including rules that sort incoming mail into these as well as lots of archival and project folders, but only a fraction is needed to keep track of daily business, therefore I run it on "Favorite Folders" 95% of the time, sometimes also "unread folders".
If the folder sorting is a complex issue in non-standard views, perhaps at least the mail box sorting order could be addressed?
I did a little analysis. The order of folders in the folder pane when "View" for Folders is set to "Favorites" is the same as when it is set to "All". MSF allows you to change the order of folders for each account, and this order is also reflected when "View" is set to "Favorites". When "View" is set to "Favorite", only the favourite folders are extracted and listed. That's all it seems to me. Is there anything in particular that you wish this add-on could do differently?
First time user issue here - you're absolutely right, it works as promised. I obviously ignored the necessity for a thunderbird restart in my tests, after the restart all is as I want!
