Generated appimage file size

I m generating an appimage of a Qt tool, if I make a small change in the code, the appimage size increases in MBs. Currently my usr folder has data of 352MB out of which my application size is only 281kB and the appimage is created of 929MB. What should be done to avoid this?

Something is clearly going wrong there. Inspect which files are in the AppImage that you think don't need to be there.
