Feature Request: Select Gate from App
Proposal: Allow the selection of the Check-In gate from within the app.
Reason: Maybe an event has less hand scanners then actual gates. This would allow such events to assign the actual gate from within the app without going the extra steps via the organizer page in Pretix. (i.e. Gate A is open from 8am - 10am and another one opens at 1pm and closes at 4pm)
For some events this will be very useful, for other events it will be something the organizer does not want at all… I'm not fully opposed, but we'd need to find a good way to introduce it risk-free and without making many more checkboxes :D
Maybe similar like the workflow to assign multiple check in lists with the same selection workflow in the app? I’ll be happy to spitball some ideas on the next event & share some deeper insights why we (Jugend hackt) would be especially interested in that feature if that helps.
Other idea: A magic QR code that can be generated only in the backend and that the organizer can put at the gate so scan users can "log in" to the gate.
