Allow translation method to be specific to the text for entry fields

I'm working with a complex multi-site setup, with several language groups.

We want to be able to set an entry for every site (not translated), but allow the text to be translated by site group. Think this is possible?

@jsunsawyer sorry if i'm being a little dim, but not sure exactly what your asking here. We are about to release an update with adds multisite support for Linkit. If you can provide a little bit more info and it fits we can look at adding it to the roadmap or fixing it if it's a big.

Let's say I have 5 different languages and I need to set up a link for each.

I want to be able to add an entry and have it be set for each language. Most of the time, our entries should handle the translations, but sometimes we need to customize the link text. Would it be possible to allow the text to be overridden without affecting all sites, via an additional translation setting for the link text itself?
