gets stuck at make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/user/src/ruby-1.9.3-p551'

when running ruby-install ruby 1.9.3-p551, things seem to build and go fine except when I get to a part where it says, make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/user/src/ruby-1.9.3-p551', and it stays that way for over 10 minutes. I don't see any error messages either.

Curious whether this happens when compiling ruby-1.9.3-p551 manually?
