0.27.7
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Turn off auto-rotate in Android
- Enable "Start main player in fullscreen" in "Video and Audio"
- Set "Tablet mode" to off in "Appearance"
- Play a video
Expected behavior
The video opens full screen and is rotated 90° When I press the toggle fullscreen icon in the bottom right corner, the player exits fullscreen mode and is rotated back 90°. The player now also show a cross to close the video
Actual behavior
The video opens full screen and is rotated 90° When I press the toggle fullscreen icon, the video fast forwards. It is impossible to exit full screen mode. It is impossible to exit the video.

Don't mind the heavy distortion at the beginning, scrcpy creates a weird video that changes dimensions halfway (due to rotation) and ffmpeg couldn't handle it properly while compressing it so I could upload it to Github.

Affected Android/Custom ROM version
Android 14
Affected device model
XQ-CC54 (Xperia 10 IV)
Additional information
It worked fine in the previous version of Tubular. I wonder if it has anything to do with the middle swipe gesture which was added in Newpipe. It does work in tablet mode, but then it gets annoying due to https://github.com/polymorphicshade/Tubular/issues/210
I see the same behavior: Sony Xperia 1 V (XQ-DQ62). Running Android 15 with the latest firmware (67.2.A.3.16).
I can also reproduce the problem with the latest "nightly" version of NewPipe (built in dev) so It's not from our side. See: https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/12296
Try to reproduce with this build.
If it's not there, then it's also probably caused by merging TeamNewPipe/NewPipe#12044
I cannot reproduce it with the nightly build, but both the latest stable and nightly are missing the center gesture feature which was explicitly mentioned in the tubular release notes. But if others can reproduce it in NewPipe the it's indeed an upstream issue.
I'm trying to figure out whether or not it was caused as an accidental regression by the same commit. If the 1030 build is indeed free of that bug, try 1031 instead, and if there it can be reproduced, then it was also caused by the Android Auto PR.

Bug seemed absent in that build. Tried 1031 and it reappeared.

In 1031 the full screen button works, I'm not fast fotwarding, but the video just rotates 90° (without leaving fullscreen), then it rotates back 90° to fullsceeen
Seems to be resolved in NewPipe, is there a nightly of Tubular that implements this fix so I can try it (since I couldn't reproduce it in NewPipe)?
Not yet
I can't reprpduce it anymore with the latest version of Tubular so I think this can be closed unless it's still a problem for @Geneaux ?
