plv8
Successor to v8?
Is this library the official successor of v8? Supabase mentions that plv8 is deprecated and should not be used in pgv17 and above.

The plv8 extension is deprecated in projects using Postgres 17. It continues to be supported in projects using Postgres 15, but will need to dropped before those projects are upgraded to Postgres 17. See the Upgrading to Postgres 17 notes for more information.
that's interesting from supabase, as plv8 has not been deprecated and is still available on postgres 18 and officially supported. you'd have to ask them what their plans are for a javascript language plugin, as it sounds like an internal decision.
