While running the migration from GLPI 10 to 11, not all data are migrated.

Bug description

Hi,

I have been trying to migrate on my pre-production to GLPI 11, but I'm stuck since the migration of custom fields data of custom objects are not migrating properly.

Of my 4 custom fields containers (see screenshot below for whole table), here is what happens:

  • informationslachapelle (related to Computers, so migration OK)
  • informationscontrat (Add new field in the "Contrats" object, migration OK)
  • infostablette (Custom fields data is not migrated from the custom object. Migration NOT OK)
  • modletpv (Custom Fields of a modele for custom object (called TPV) Migration NOT OK)

Here are the steps I'm doing:

  • Migrate from GLPI 10 to 11
  • Update the files of the plugin Generic Object to 3.0.0
  • Update the files of the plugin Fields to 1.22.2 (and apply fix #1070 manually)
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:install genericobject
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:activate genericobject (even if I activate it later it does the same problem)
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console migration:genericobject_plugin_to_core
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:install fields

Once I run this command, I'm getting the following output: Note: The number of times the line happens seems to be the number of custom object item that exists.

Steps To reproduce

  • Migrate from GLPI 10 to 11
  • Update the files of the plugin Generic Object to 3.0.0
  • Update the files of the plugin Fields to 1.22.2 (and apply fix #1070 manually)
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:install genericobject
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:activate genericobject (even if I activate it later it does the same problem)
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console migration:genericobject_plugin_to_core
  • Run the command php /var/www/html/glpi/bin/console glpi:plugin:install fields

Hi @stonebuzz , I'm not sure what you mean by that question, but I have 4 containers, but 2 who are for custom objects:

  • infostablette -> Which is related to the object called "Tablette"
  • modletpv -> Which is the "Modeles" (I added a model number as custom field) for the object called "TPV"

On version GLPI 11.0.2, GenericObject 3.0.2, Fields 1.23.1, after upgrade, the following files: ./files/_plugins/fields/inc/glpicustomassettabletteassetinfostablette.class.php
./files/_plugins/fields/inc/glpicustomassettabletteassetmodletpv.class.php

do not exists anymore, but I have those :

plugingenericobjecttabletteinfostabletteinjection.class.php

After doing the migration process from a backup (v10) to GLPI 11.0.2, GenericObject 3.0.2, Fields 1.23.1 , once I activated the plugin, the error message did not happen. However, I still do not see any migrated data for my custom objects on my GLPI instance !

I have here attached my fields_conf , if that can help.

The issue is still active and no fix have yet been proposed. I will retry later with all the new GLPI versions, but this is till a blocking issue for our upgrade to GLPI 11

Can you run another test using the latest version of GLPI, as well as the latest versions of the Fields and GenericObject plugins?

We have done a lot of work on the migration.

It is possible that your issue has already been resolved in the latest versions.
