Nodemcu ESP8266 Compatibility

Hello.

I've got the code to compile and uploaded it onto a Nodemcu ESP8266.

I can't get past this though:

... Attempting to connect to WPA network...

I have tested another couple of scripts on the device and they connect to my network.

Any ideas?
