Can I undelete an instance of a repeating event

If I have an event that repeats on MWF, and I delete the Wednesday instance, can I restore it in any way? I mean I would like to have an event on Wednesday which is part of the same repetition, eg it can be edited simultaneously with all other instances, etc.

So far I can only do this by manually modifying the EXDATE section of the .ics files.
