Feature: indicate target="_blank" links, allow opening them in the same tab
A nice feature would be an indication that a link will open in a new tab, and being able to control that behavior (maybe using uppercase to open in the same tab?)
It's always annoying when a website thinks it knows what you want when you would really rather open a link in the same window. I may work on this myself and submit a PR but just wanted to post this in case anyone can get to it in a more timely fashion than I can.
Sorry to disturb you. I just made a spell mistake and wrote a wrong issue number when I commented another issue.
As for your need, I have a customized version of Vimium, named Vimium C (https://github.com/gdh1995/vimium-c) and it support much more command parameters to adjust command behavior. So you may write such a key mapping:
map xxx LinkHints.activate newtab="force-mode"
Then Vimium C will not dispatch a click event on an anchor (link) target, but use the target's URL and open a new tab or open in a current tab from Vimium C background process.
