I have to say this is for my own usage. See my few posts about texturecache.py supplementary tool. Your script is used since I'm using Aeon Nox Silvo skin. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=158373&pid=2254255#pid2254255
Making sure that scripts doesn't overlap each other and on other following tasks this log can help me.
I was hoping that change is not too long to apply and won't affect anyone else. thank you, again if you choose not to do that change it's fine for me, I will put a sleep period in my script but please let me know.
One more thing.
If you or mikesilvo164 like the texturecache functions and you can used this within your own script (no idea if you are allowed) it will be even better.
I mean I noticed when I'm using Silvo skin and want to have my extrafanarts showing in rotation as my background I have to go from the left menu and select "download fanart" Then the image start to change. After some research (I might be wrong) I discovered that Silvo "download fanart" start my line #4 : kodi-send --action="XBMC.runScript(script.toolbox,info=extrafanarttvshow, silent=true)" my line #5 : kodi-send --action="XBMC.runScript(script.toolbox,info=extrafanartmovie, silent=true)"
This is the reason I'm adding this line in my cron job. I'm too lazy each time I have a new movie or tvshows to get into that menu and execute the script.
Since I'm here and unleash ;-) Let's talk to mikesilvo164 and see if he likes the idea of having "my script" within his own skin. Think about it, it would be a big leap forward... AUTOMATION ---or should a send this to Milhouse as an idea within OE by creating a script like that (I can assist for sure) so that a maintenance can be setup and trigger by the user if he want it.
What do you think ? ;-)
To be more specific.... It's not only my line #5 that can be put in a script to increase AUTOMATION but all the aspect of finding a new movie and populate it automatically so Silvo skin will show those arts right away... or shortly after.
OK I might be dreaming, but Aeon nox or another skin someday will replace Confluence as the default, don't you think ?
