Feature Request: Book counts on Author view

In the Author view, there is currently no counter provided for the number of books available. It would be helpful to see the book count without having to click each author's name in turn.

That's a good idea. Where do you propose to add the count? If I put it beside the author name, it looks too cluttered.

I was thinking of adding the count as a badge on the right-side of the author button. This is something I figure I could implement myself, which is why I was trying to get a successful make run.
