Notification Popups occasionally get through

Using Mobile Notifier is great instead of having the ugly popups. However it seems with some apps (Particularly LiveProfile), if I open the app then old notifications come through as alert popups while the app is open. And then they just close themselves requiring no interaction with me. Very weird.
